Counter Sales Representative

Location: Horizon Phoenix, AZ - H150, 5214 S. 30th Street, Phoenix, Arizona - 85040 Pay: $18-$21/hr and up to $2,500 through performance bonuses in the summer. Work Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm Job Overview The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as the primary point of contact for walk‑in and phone customers, enabling them to build, manage, and grow successful landscape businesses through product knowledge, recommendations, and exceptional service. Responsibilities Greet walk‑in and phone customers, listening to understand their needs and challenges. Treat customers as business partners and recommend product solutions, upsell options, and complimentary items. Collaborate with team members and utilize all company resources to sell Horizon’s value and deliver best possible service and experience. Prepare sales orders and assist customers in selecting and loading merchandise. Make follow‑up calls to potential and existing customers to introduce opportunities and solicit additional business. Resolve customer complaints professionally and in a timely manner. Maintain a clean, well‑organized, well‑stocked sales center. Assist with receiving, shipping, and general warehouse duties. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong customer‑service attitude. Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented personality. Thrives in a fast‑paced environment focused on serving business owners with urgent needs. Clear verbal and written communication skills; asks questions and thinks critically to identify solutions. Cooperative, dependable team player. Good computer and record‑keeping skills; aptitude to learn evolving systems, programs, handheld technology, and processes. Ability to frequently lift and move items that weigh up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Must possess or obtain forklift certification. Must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Experience in irrigation and knowledge of other landscape products is helpful.
