Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist for a hospital surgical services unit, open to candidates with a technical diploma or associate's degree and BLS certification. Requirements Technical diploma from a Surgical Technology Program or Associate's Degree required BLS certification required No prior experience required License required if applicable Responsibilities Hospital surgical services department Evening shift schedule with 4x10-hour shifts, 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM 40 hours per week over 4 days Functions as part of the surgical team under RN direction, performing scrub functions supporting the perioperative plan of care Demonstrates knowledge of operative procedures including draping, instrumentation, suture, and equipment Maintains aseptic technique including gowning, gloving, sterilization, and disinfection practices Anticipates surgeon needs and ensures OR readiness prior to scheduled cases Accurately counts and accounts for all surgical items before, during, and after procedures Properly disposes of sharps and assists with cleaning and storage of surgical equipment Participates in unit activities including staff meetings, orientation of new staff, and preference card updates Demonstrates versatility across a variety of OR specialties Completes required safety training and demonstrates knowledge of National Patient Safety Goals and AORN Guidelines Provides positive customer service interactions with patients and staff First-time travelers may be considered Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Job ID: P-757230 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
