Working remotely as an Independent Contractor, the International Audio/Video Remote Portuguese Interpreter will handle audio and video calls on demand, facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient community while providing superior customer service. Key responsibilities Provide effective audio and video interpreting through a web-based platform Answer inbound calls in a timely manner Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct and maintain strict confidentiality standards Required qualifications Full fluency in both English and Portuguese Technology proficient with web-based platforms, email, and Microsoft Word 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred Industry-specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.) An interpreting space that is quiet, secure, and free from outside noises
