About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice Chancellor for Advancement to provide strategic leadership for its comprehensive advancement program. The successful candidate will be the chief philanthropic officer, responsible for developing and executing a bold vision for philanthropy that aligns with the institution's mission and strategic priorities. This role involves leading a talented team in all aspects of fundraising, alumni engagement, campaign strategy, and donor relations. The Vice Chancellor will also be instrumental in fostering a culture of philanthropy, strengthening institutional partnerships, and elevating the philanthropic profile of the institution. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in advancement, with a proven track record in fundraising and a proactive, entrepreneurial approach to philanthropy. Applicants for the Vice Chancellor position at the company should have a distinguished record of advancement leadership, including success in cultivating and securing philanthropic investments. The role requires exceptional strategic leadership skills, outstanding communication, and the ability to build and lead high-performing advancement organizations. The candidate must be adept at establishing trusted relationships and have a strong appreciation for the role of philanthropy in advancing scientific discovery, education, and community health. A Bachelor's degree is required, and experience in academic medicine, research-intensive universities, or similar complex environments is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will be an authentic, accessible leader with a commitment to developing and empowering their team, and will be expected to travel frequently to meet with donors and prospects.
