HR Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for leading recruiting and talent acquisition efforts for the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee by developing sourcing strategies, building candidate pipelines, and partnering with hiring managers to attract and hire qualified candidates. In addition to managing the recruitment process, this role supports broader Human Resources functions as needed, including employee relations, benefits administration, and staff development initiatives, while ensuring a positive employee experience and maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience 1–3 years of recruiting, talent acquisition, or sourcing experience; nonprofit experience preferred PHR or SHRM certification preferred but not required Experience using job boards, applicant tracking systems, and recruiting platforms preferred Professional Expectations Demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds Maintains discretion and professionalism when handling confidential or sensitive information Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Proactive, flexible, and willing to assist with time-sensitive HR matters Demonstrates a service-oriented approach consistent with YMCA values #J-18808-Ljbffr The National Council of Young Men’s Christian Associations of the United States of America
