A facility engineer is competent in various trades, including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering, and masonry, to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our "ONE TEAM. ONE VISION." philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.The job is simple:Focus on ways to promote and engage in internal growth programs.Continuously exemplify and live by our Culture.Meet/exceed our company goals and three metrics.Complete all required trainingAdhere to all standard operating procedures and property specific brand standardsPerform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guestsHave knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation proceduresRepair or replace items such as light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall coverings, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous itemsMaintain a record of repairs performed, repairs calendared and pending, and repairs needing evaluationInspect guestrooms, public space and back of the house to evaluate for areas to repair, touch up or replaceAssist other department team members in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance programHave basic mechanical aptitude for the operation and repair of hotel facilities and equipmentHave working knowledge of basic hand and power toolsIs responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow associates, and hotel assets in conjunction with hotel managementWill keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, associate issues, etc.Necessary Skills:Able to communicate effectively in writing, by telephone and in personAble to report to scheduled shiftsAble to work a flexible schedule.
