Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures and safety standards
• Prepare specimens accurately for lab testing, ensuring proper labeling and documentation in accordance with protocols
• Verify patient demographic information and initials to confirm specimen identification post-venipuncture
• Explain procedures to patients to foster a trusting, comfortable environment
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen collection and processing
• Ensure a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients and staff
• Perform activities independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating process excellence and confidentiality
• Support multiple locations and adapt to staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts

Required Skills

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for record keeping
• Effective communication skills to explain procedures and foster patient trust
• Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington
• 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, preferred
• Customer service experience in retail or service environments highly preferred
• Flexible schedule, availability for travel, and ability to cover multiple locations including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record if applicable
• Language skills: Seeking a Korean-speaking candidate is a plus
