Senior Accountant

Salary: Up to $150,000 + Bonus & Comprehensive Benefits Location: Chicago (Hybrid) Client: International Investment Group Experience: 5+ Years Our client, a global buy-side financial services organisation with a diverse portfolio of businesses, is looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to strengthen its finance function. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team where you'll gain broad exposure across financial reporting, operational accounting, and process optimisation while supporting a complex, multi-entity business. Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related subject. Minimum 5 years' experience within financial accounting or reporting. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls. Advanced Excel skills with confidence manipulating and analysing large datasets. Experience with various accounting systems. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities across multiple group entities, ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Prepare journals, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end adjustments to support timely reporting. Assist in producing statutory accounts and management reports in line with relevant accounting standards. Work closely with auditors and external stakeholders by providing financial information and supporting documentation. Review accounting processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, controls and reporting quality. Investigate financial discrepancies, reconcile complex transactional data and maintain the integrity of accounting records. Partner with internal teams to improve reporting workflows and support finance transformation initiatives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
