Opportunity We are seeking a Peer Support Specialist Supervisor to join our Mobile Crisis Team at CarePoint Response, Inc. (CPR). In this role, you’ll provide on-site crisis intervention, assessment, and stabilization services alongside a Peer Support Specialist. You’ll help individuals in crisis develop safety plans, connect to resources, and begin their path toward recovery. What You’ll Do Collaborate with mobile crisis team members and respond to individuals in crisis in the community or hospital ED. Work with individuals in crisis to develop a crisis plan, provide linkages to care and introduce other crisis planning tools as needed prior to the completion of the crisis run. Facilitate engagement of the individual in crisis and help them feel welcome and comfortable. Create performance improvement plans for staff as necessary. Provide regular supervision documentation. Model behavior and ethics to the peer specialist. Support and supervise the peer specialist. Assist with continuity of care by offering mental health, addiction, peer recovery supports, and other needed resources; refer to CPR’s Peer Support Intervention and Support services when extra support is needed. Build relationships with addiction, mental health, homeless outreach providers, peer recovery supports, and other community resources. Perform timely and accurate documentation of all clinical and client-related information. Maintain professional, open, effective, and appropriate communication with clients, CPR staff, management, outside agencies, and the public. Complete all required trainings by scheduled due dates and maintain compliance with CPR policies and procedures. Empower participants to become self-advocates for their own recovery and wellness. Maintain professional boundaries with clients, staff, and other outside agencies. Work with all clients from a strengths-based perspective, providing support and encouragement as they move forward in their recovery. Qualifications Education High school diploma required; associate degree preferred. Additional Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required. Minimum two years of experience working in the field of peer recovery and possessing experiential expertise dealing with our focus areas of treatment.
