Job Description:

Schedule: Shift: Days 06:45–19:15

Hours options: 36 or 48 hours available

Weekend requirement: Every other weekend

Assignment Details:

Contract length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years critical care experience

Required unit experience: CVICU or open heart/post-cardiac surgery

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Experience with post-cardiac surgery care, dysrhythmia interpretation, ECMO management, IABP, and VAD

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care to adults recovering from open heart surgery and other cardiac procedures.

Monitor and manage complex cardiac devices and physiological parameters.

Administer medication and perform necessary interventions per physician orders.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery processes.

Compliance / Notes:

Orientation: Must be available for daily classes during the first week.

Scrubs: Navy, white, or a navy/white combination.
