Commercial Construction Project Manager in Troy

Job Description About the Role We are seeking an experienced Project Manager, Construction to lead the successful delivery of complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This is a client-facing leadership role responsible for managing project performance across schedule, budget, quality, and safety . You will oversee multiple projects or a large, high-value project while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and a mentor to internal team members. This role is ideal for a strategic, results-driven construction leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution Lead all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through warranty Develop and manage project schedules, identifying risks and driving solutions Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors Facilitate project meetings and ensure alignment across all stakeholders Financial & Operational Oversight Manage full project P&L, including budgets, forecasts, and cost control Oversee billing, change orders, and financial reporting Monitor project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies Preconstruction & Business Development Partner with estimating and design teams on budgets, schedules, and constructability Support proposal development, client presentations, and project pursuits Contribute to value engineering and strategic project planning Subcontractor & Vendor Management Lead subcontractor selection, negotiation, and contract execution Monitor performance related to schedule, safety, and quality Approve invoices and ensure compliance with contract terms Quality, Safety & Compliance Champion a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance Oversee QA/QC processes, inspections, and project closeout Ensure adherence to all regulatory and project-specific requirements Team Leadership Supervise and develop Project Managers, Engineers, and support staff Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development guidance Lead process improvements and contribute to operational excellence Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field 8–10+ years of commercial construction project management experience Proven success delivering projects valued at $10M+ (experience with $20M+ projects ) Experience managing multiple projects or large-scale developments Technical Skills Proficiency in Procore , Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 Strong knowledge of Bluebeam, BIM workflows , and construction documentation Experience with construction financials, forecasting, and ERP systems Certifications () OSHA 30 (required or obtained within 90 days) PMP, CCM, or DBIA certification LEED accreditation What We’re Looking For Strong leadership and team-building skills Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities Sound business judgment and commercial awareness Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset Work Environment Combination of office and active construction site work Regular travel to project sites (some overnight travel required) Ability to navigate active job sites and perform site inspections #J-18808-Ljbffr Energy Jobline ZR
