Precision Deburr Specialist

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Day Shift) Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly Non-Exempt A day in this role When the shop lights come on, you’re the steady hand that transforms good parts into great ones. You’ll start your morning reviewing traveler packets, planning tools for each operation, and prioritizing throughput to meet production targets. As parts roll in, you’ll break edges, smooth surfaces, and hold tight tolerances without oversizing. Midday might find you moving between a sandblast cabinet, a tumble machine, and a bench station—measuring, documenting, and scribing as you go. By day’s end, your workspace is clean, counts are accurate, and every part is safe to handle and ready for the next operation. What you’ll do Follow traveler/job packet instructions with precision Use a range of hand deburring tools matched to each application Measure features and record results to meet production documentation standards Interpret intermediate-level blueprints and dimensional callouts Apply surface finish and edge-break requirements to each part family Maintain tight tolerances while preventing oversize conditions Operate a sandblast machine safely and effectively Scribe identification using a vibro-peen tool Run tumble equipment efficiently for consistent results Log accurate part counts and complete required records Issue and complete discrepant material tag documentation as needed Keep benches and equipment clean, organized, and maintained daily Take on additional duties as assigned Core strengths Exceptional attention to detail Intermediate proficiency with mechanical hand tools and related controllers Solid understanding of blueprint tolerances Intermediate finishing technique and craftsmanship Comfort with shop math and measurements Clear, proactive communication—listens well and asks clarifying questions Reliable work ethic; consistent and dependable Team-oriented, with the ability to work independently when needed Self-driven and organized Qualifications Intermediate hands-on experience with mechanical hand tools 2+ years of hand finishing/deburring experience High school diploma or GED Work environment and physical demands This is a hands-on bench and equipment role requiring frequent standing for extended periods, walking, reaching, and handling small components. You must be able to communicate clearly (talk/hear), lift up to 50 pounds, and work around typical shop atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, and dust.
