Position Summary:

We are seeking a per-diem Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will oversee front‑office operations and ensure every patient receives a welcoming, efficient, and supportive experience from the moment they arrive. As the first point of contact for the site, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive environment and keeping daily operations running smoothly. This role involves traveling between our four Community Health Center locations— Asbury Park, Red Bank, Freehold, and Keyport —to support consistent, compassionate care for all patients.

Responsibilities:

• Be the welcoming face of the health center, offering excellent customer service by interacting with clients and staff in a friendly, professional manner

• Create and maintain client files and medical records with accuracy and attention to detail

• Provide vital administrative support to the professional staff and practice manager, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations

• Manage financial transactions and front-office operations, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy at all times

• Ensure efficient appointment scheduling, telephone communication, and processing of paperwork for clients

• Follow all organizational policies related to attendance, appearance, and confidentiality

• Perform other related tasks as needed to support the overall mission of the health center

Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications :

• High School diploma or GED

• Prior medical office experience i.e. telephone, fax machines, copiers, appointment scheduling, medical billing, coding data entry a plus

• Excellent organizational and customer service skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

• Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office products

• Car and valid driver’s license

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Demand : Business office environment within a fast paced healthcare center with heavy customer service, data entry, phone, fax and computer use

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the compensation range for this position is USD $16.00 to USD $24.00.
