Irrigation Foreman - Bradenton Location

We are looking for an experienced Irrigation Foreman to lead field crews in installing and maintaining irrigation systems.

Job Summary:
The Irrigation Foreman is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of irrigation installations, repairs, and maintenance for commercial and residential properties. This position requires technical knowledge of irrigation systems, including 2-wire systems, and the ability to lead and motivate a crew to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

#183; Lead and supervise irrigation crew members on-site during installation and maintenance projects.

#183; Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, with proficiency in 2-wire systems.

#183; Ensure all work meets quality standards, deadlines, and client expectations.

#183; Operate and maintain irrigation tools and equipment, ensuring crew safety and proper use.

#183; Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical manuals related to irrigation systems.

#183; Coordinate with project managers to prioritize daily tasks and allocate resources efficiently.

#183; Perform inspections of installed systems to ensure functionality and compliance with design specifications.

#183; Train and mentor crew members on best practices in irrigation system installation and repair.

#183; Communicate effectively with clients, answering questions and addressing concerns as needed.

#183; Track materials, labor, and equipment used on projects, ensuring proper documentation.

#183; Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications:

#183; Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial and residential irrigation installation and maintenance.

#183; Experience with 2-wire irrigation systems is required.

#183; Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a crew.

#183; Knowledge of irrigation controllers, valves, heads, sensors, and pumps.

#183; Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues on the job site.

#183; Experience reading and interpreting irrigation system blueprints and plans.

#183; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

#183; Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

#183; Ability to work in various weather conditions and on physically demanding projects.

#183; Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Skills:

#183; Certification in irrigation (CIC, CID, or similar) is a plus.

#183; Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

Working Conditions

#183; Employee will work out of the Palmetto office, vehicle office or out of a field office at the construction site.

#183; Employee may have to travel when the construction site is in another area or when they are responsible for activities at two or more sites.

#183; Employee may also expect to work in stressful situations.

#183; Management of construction projects outside of daily driving distance may entail temporary residence in another area.

#183; Employee may need to be “on call,” 24 hours a day, to deal with bad weather or emergencies at the site.

#183; Employee may be subject to lifting and exposure to extreme weather, fumes and chemicals.

Work and Physical Requirements

#183; May be exposed to hazardous chemicals.

#183; Occasional lifting up to 40 pounds using proper lifting techniques.

#183; Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling.

#183; Work is performed in both an internal and external environment with occasional exposure to inclement weather and varying temperatures.
