Job Summary

A food and beverage production organization in the Los Angeles, CA area is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee fleet operations, dispatch coordination, routing, scheduling, safety, and DOT compliance. This is a direct hire opportunity for a logistics professional who enjoys leading transportation teams, improving daily fleet performance, and ensuring products move efficiently through a fast-paced distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily transportation operations, including fleet utilization, dispatch activity, route planning, and delivery scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, fleet safety, driver standards, and company transportation policies.
- Monitor transportation performance, identify operational issues, and implement improvements to support efficiency and service levels.
- Partner with warehouse, production, customer service, and operations teams to coordinate timely movement of goods.
- Maintain accurate transportation records using ERP systems and support reporting related to fleet, compliance, routing, and scheduling.
- Lead, support, and coach transportation staff while promoting a safety-focused and accountable work environment.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $80,000 to $100,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage daily transportation operations, including dispatch, fleet oversight, routing, and scheduling.
- Maintain DOT, fleet, safety, and compliance standards across transportation activities.
- Use ERP systems to support transportation planning, documentation, reporting, and operational visibility.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient delivery execution and strong service performance.

- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Transportation Manager or in a closely related transportation leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of fleet operations, DOT compliance, transportation safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience using ERP systems in a logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or food and beverage environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced transportation operation.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting routing, dispatch, scheduling, and driver coordination functions.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bilingual communication skills are a strong plus.
- Experience in food and beverage production, manufacturing, distribution, or a similar high-volume logistics environment.
- Prior experience improving transportation processes, fleet efficiency, safety performance, or delivery reliability.
