Learning and Development/HR Assistant - Temp to perm

The team is looking to fill this asap as a 3 month temp position, with the intention of potentially converting the role to a permanent position. The 3-month period will serve as an evaluation period.

About the Role

This position will assist the Learning & Development team (part of the Legal Talent Office) with the full life cycle of educational programs and CLE compliance for our lawyers, along with providing support to other Legal Talent Office personnel on various projects and administrative matters as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing the Firms educational programs for lawyers across all seniority levels, including coordinating logistics with internal teams such as Media, Conference and Dining Services, and Building Security, and handling invitations and other program communications.
• Communicate regularly with attorneys across all seniority levels, to ensure educational programs run smoothly and to address programming- and CLE-related requests as well as Firm personnel, including staff in Media, Conference and Dining Services, Building Security, and other departments.
• Monitor and respond to emails and other inquiries regarding educational programs and CLE matters, and provide in-person guidance and support to attorneys and staff during programs.
• Develop a working knowledge of CLE requirements applicable to the Firms attorneys and assist with the administration of CLE-eligible programs, including preparing and processing required paperwork and issuing CLE certificates to attorneys.
• Assist with attorney CLE compliance and registration processes, including tracking requirements and sending compliance, registration, and related reminders.
• Flexibility to work outside of standard office hours on occasion, including arriving early or staying late, as needed to support educational programs.
• In addition, responsibilities related to maintaining firm and client information are to be adhered to by all employees. This includes complying with the firms information security policies, protecting firm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference, and reporting security events or potential events or other security risks to management.

Qualifications

• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Must be able to juggle multiple tasks with competing deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint preferred
• Experience with CLE, CE Manager, viDesktop, or other LMS preferred

Education

• B.A. required
• Experience working at a law firm or similarly fast-paced professional services environment preferred
