Lead Analyst, Analysis & Efficiencies

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Analyst, Analysis & Efficiencies based in United States.

This role is a key analytical and operational leadership position within Government Program Operations, supporting programs across Medicare, Medicaid, and Exchange. You will help translate strategic priorities and regulatory requirements into actionable insights, scalable processes, and measurable operational improvements. The position combines advanced data analysis with team mentorship, quality oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. You will guide a team of analysts through complex work while identifying opportunities to automate workflows and improve efficiency. Working closely with compliance, product, client services, clinical, and other business teams, you will help ensure accurate and consistent delivery. Accountabilities:

• Mentor and guide a team of 5–7 analysts, ensuring high-quality deliverables, appropriate prioritization, and adherence to operational and regulatory timelines.
• Serve as the first point of escalation for analyst questions, complex issues, and analytical challenges, providing guidance and helping resolve problems efficiently.
• Lead initiatives to identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements across Medicare, Medicaid, and Exchange programs.
• Partner with management and relevant stakeholders to design and implement automated solutions, scalable workflows, and more efficient operating processes.
• Validate the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of outgoing deliverables, including reports, analyses, and operational tools.
• Interpret CMS and state regulatory guidance and translate requirements into clear, actionable direction for the analyst team.
• Partner with internal subject matter experts to assess whether system capabilities align with regulatory requirements, operational needs, and client expectations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with compliance, product, sales, marketing, underwriting, implementation, client services, and clinical operations teams to support operational enhancements.
• Oversee complex data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, performance gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
• Develop and oversee detailed specifications for reports and dashboards that provide actionable information for business decision-making.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability across data-driven insights produced by the analyst team.
• Communicate analytical findings, recommendations, risks, and opportunities clearly to stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
• Promote adherence to applicable codes of conduct, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including the appropriate reporting of non-compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Health Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, government programs, data analysis, or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and Exchange programs and their applicable regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, or managing analysts and supporting the development of high-quality analytical teams.
• Advanced proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools, including Excel, SQL, and business intelligence platforms.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify trends, investigate anomalies, solve complex problems, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a changing operational environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical and regulatory concepts clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Collaborative and relationship-oriented approach, with the ability to build effective partnerships across technical, operational, compliance, and business teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational quality.

Benefits

• Annual base salary range of $120,000–$150,000 USD for New York, NY.
• Annual base salary range of $110,400–$138,000 USD for Denver, CO.
• Annual base salary range of $100,400–$125,500 USD for Charlotte, NC.
• Hybrid working arrangement requiring approximately three days per week in the office.
• Office locations available in New York City, Denver, CO, and the Charlotte, NC area.
