Multi-Site Support Specialist (Job Class: Accounting Services Specialist)

Make a Difference in Your Community St. Louis County's Department of Revenue seeks a Multi‑Site Support Specialist (Job Class: Accounting Services Specialist) to join their Collector of Revenue team. This position will perform a variety of complex accounting support functions including processing large‑scale transactions, analyzing account data, and preparing summary reports within accounts receivable. The well‑qualified candidate will be able to make decisions without close review by a supervisor. Coverage LK Roos Administration building in Clayton, Missouri Northwest Crossings in St. Ann, Missouri South County Government Center off Lemay A current valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required. Mileage will be reimbursed at the federal mileage reimbursement rate (currently 72.5 cents per mile). Benefits Competitive average salary: typical starting salary range is between $17.64 and $21.17 per hour, based on qualifications. Comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off and health insurance. Public Service Loan Forgiveness participation. Responsibilities Prepare physical deposits and balance all deposits. Receive and process payment of taxes and compile related reports. Issue waivers. Adjust accounts. Maintain ledgers and records of funds received to ensure proper documentation and reimbursement. Reconcile statements with reports, spreadsheets, and summaries. Perform other duties as required or assigned. Minimum Qualifications Equivalent to three years of professional work experience in an accounting‑related environment. Current valid driver’s license. Access to a reliable vehicle for travel between sites. Current in payment of all personal and real property taxes. Preference Three (3) years of cash handling experience.
