Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 hours per week. Weekend requirement: 5-6 shifts over a 6-week scheduling period. Floating required as needed based on facility needs. Longer contract options available through February 27, 2026.

Highlights:

• Fast-paced 43-bed cardiac telemetry unit with comprehensive cardiac care including post-catheterization and pacemaker/ICD patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with robust interdisciplinary support including rapid response teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and phlebotomy
• Epic electronic health record system with 24 hours of unit-specific orientation
• Hands-on cardiac nursing including cardiac drip management (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine), sheath pulls, TR bands, and Femstop procedures
• Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
• Contract staff participates in storm team/hurricane team responsibilities as part of emergency preparedness protocols

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, IMC, or Stepdown experience
• Strong experience with cardiac drip management, central line care, blood product administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Must pass facility-specific EKG testing prior to assignment
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with excellent teamwork and communication skills
