Coordinator I Center for Repair Regular Full-Time Presbyterian Center-Louisville, Louisville, KY, US 2 days ago Requisition ID: 1166 Company Overview The national offices of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), A Corporation (“A Corp”) “PC(USA)” ,based in Louisville Kentucky, serve with mid-councils, congregations, worshipping communities, and partner organizations to carry forth the mission of Jesus Christ. This community comprises the staff of national entities: the Presbyterian Life & Witness, the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation, Presbyterian Women, Investment and Loan Program, and the Administrative Services Group. Basic Commitment: This position calls for a commitment to the mission of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) as noted in its theological confessions, the Book of Order, and the actions of the General Assembly. Position Purpose: The Coordinator for Center for Repair provides strategic, analytical, and relational leadership to support the Center’s work in restorative justice, research, partnership development, and program implementation. The role advances denomination-wide commitments to repair, equity, and jubilee through coordinated research efforts, collaborative partnerships, theological integration, and effective program administration. Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Research Leadership & Data Strategy Oversee and coordinate research efforts that assess historic and ongoing inequities affecting congregations and communities of color. Develop and maintain unified approaches to data collection, analysis, and reporting across agencies and mid councils. Translate research findings into actionable insights that inform program priorities, funding decisions, and denominational reporting. Ensure data integrity, accessibility, and alignment with General Assembly mandates. Cultivate collaborative relationships with congregations, mid councils, national agencies, caucuses, and other stakeholders engaged in restorative work. Facilitate cross-agency collaboration to align restorative initiatives, communication strategies, and joint programming. Support the creation of pathways for congregations of color seeking resources, accompaniment, or restorative intervention. Serve as a liaison for partners participating in research, grant programs, educational offerings, or discernment around restorative practices. Provide leadership in administering grant programs that support congregational vitality and pastoral leadership in historically marginalized communities. Oversee program design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Support partnerships with the Board of Pensions and other agencies to strengthen congregational access to benefits, sustainability practices, and equitable compensation. Ensure accountability and transparent reporting for all programmatic and grant-related initiatives. 4. Support for Racial/Ethnic Ministries & Restorative Intervention Partner with racial/ethnic caucuses, mid councils, and related committees to identify restorative approaches that respond to historical harms or inequitable church practices. Contribute to the development of frameworks for ministerial calls, compensation models, and support structures that promote thriving leadership in communities of color. Provide strategic guidance on restorative practices within the context of Hispanic/Latino ministries and other historically marginalized groups. 5. Reporting, Communication, & Theological Integration Develop written reports, summaries, and briefings for General Assembly bodies, governing boards, caucuses, and denominational partners. Integrate theological frameworks of repair, justice, and jubilee into program narratives and communications. Represent the Center in presentations, consultations, and denominational gatherings as assigned. Support the creation of public-facing materials that interpret the Center’s work for broader church audiences. 6. Educational Leadership: Seven Stations of Repair Provide leadership in the development, coordination, and facilitation of the Seven Stations of Repair educational initiative. Design and support learning experiences that help individuals and communities engage historical harms and discern faithful responses. Develop curriculum, liturgical resources, discussion guides, and multimedia tools for a range of audiences. Strengthen integration of the Seven Stations of Repair with congregational formation, worship, and public witness. 7. Center Operations & Strategic Support Participate in strategic planning, program development, budgeting, and evaluation efforts for the Center. Assist in strengthening relationships with synods, presbyteries, congregational leaders, and national agencies. Contribute to creating a collaborative, mission-centered work environment within the Center and across partner agencies. Required Skills: 5+ years' experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion; organizational development; human resources; or a related field Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating trainings or workshops for diverse adult audiences A nuanced, intersectional understanding of equity — and the ability to translate that understanding into practical organizational application Strong relationship-building skills; you earn trust across lines of difference and across all levels of an organization Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas accessibly Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in one or more languages in addition to English — our national reach means our work touches communities with diverse linguistic backgrounds, and multilingual ability strengthens our capacity to build genuine belonging Certification in one or more assessments related to equity, inclusion, or organizational culture (such as the IDI, EQi, or similar instruments) — and the ability to use assessment data to inform individual and organizational growth. Helpful Skills: Have a deep understanding and commitment to cultural and racial ethnic inclusiveness. Values diverse groups, ethnicities, genders, communities, cultural constituencies and points of view. Able to relate well to people from all walks of life and of varying theological perspectives. Ability to speak one or more languages other than English very helpful Physical Requirements: Office-based or hybrid work environment. Sight and hearing are required. Ability to use the computer for extended periods of time. Ability to communicate via telephone, via Zoom, and other computer technologies.
