We are looking for a couple of new Test Prep Tutors in North Fulton (Marietta, Roswell, Alpharetta…) to join our team for in‑home and virtual tutoring. A desire or willingness to instruct group classes (after training) is a plus! Applerouth Education is a group of passionate educators who believe that students are more than a score. Base pay: $30–35/hr, depending on experience +$15/hr bonus for classroom instruction +$5/hr referral bonuses and request bonuses Flexible scheduling and self‑selected student matches Paid training and ongoing support Annual reviews with the opportunity to increase base pay Non‑taxed mileage reimbursement for in‑person sessions, depending on market Access to new job openings across Guidewell Education before the general public Discount program on tutoring services for immediate family Responsibilities Deliver one‑on‑one tutoring in SAT/ACT prep and/or academic subjects, primarily in‑person, but there may be online tutoring opportunities. Tailor each lesson to match the student’s individual goals and learning style. Review mock test results and adjust lesson plans accordingly. Communicate clearly with students, families, and Applerouth team members. Submit session reports, scheduling updates, and progress notes promptly. Maintain a consistent weekly tutoring schedule based on student availability. Participate in paid training and professional development workshops. Uphold Applerouth’s mission to build better learners for life. Requirements Strong academic background and content mastery in tutoring subjects. Passing score on our short pre‑interview SAT/ACT content quiz. Reliable internet connection (for online trainings/meetings/sessions) and reliable transportation (for in‑person sessions). Availability to tutor during after‑school hours and weekends. At least one year of college completed. Passion for helping students succeed and confidence in your ability to mentor others. Willingness to complete Applerouth’s paid training program and participate in mock testing. What to expect in the hiring process Resume screening by Talent Team (reviewing for professionalism, clear communication skills, and purposeful involvement that indicates mentorship potential). SAT/ACT content quiz (10‑25 minutes, used to verify satisfactory initial content knowledge). Informational Interview with a Talent Team member (30 minutes, focused on core values alignment, availability, and expectations). Roleplay Tutoring Interview with a Tutor Manager (30 minutes, designed to assess instructional effectiveness, teaching style, and student interaction).
