Outside Sales Representative — Trade & Builder Accounts
Tex-Turf | Dallas–Fort Worth | Full-Time | Base + Uncapped Commission
About us
Tex-Turf is a DFW artificial turf installation company in our third year and growing fast. We install premium turf for homeowners and for the region's best pool builders, outdoor living contractors, and landscape architects. We're building the trade side of our business into a real channel, and we need someone to own it.
The role
This is a hunting role. You'll build relationships with pool builders, outdoor living contractors, landscape architects, and landscapers across DFW and turn them into recurring partners who bring us their turf work. Most of these companies sell turf as part of larger backyard projects but don't self-perform the installation — your job is to become the sub they call every time.
You'll be in the field, not behind a desk. Job sites, builder offices, lunches, trade events.
What you'll do
• Identify and prioritize builder, contractor, and design firm targets across the Metroplex
• Run a structured outreach cadence: drop-ins, calls, emails, follow-up
• Get in front of owners, project managers, and design leads — and get past gatekeepers to do it
• Present our partner program: found margin on a line item they weren't going to self-perform
• Convert first meetings into a first pilot job
• Keep partners active with regular check-ins and fast, reliable service
• Log every account, contact, and referral in our CRM (Jobber) — the accounts belong to the company
• Represent Tex-Turf at industry association meetings and trade shows
What we're looking for
• 2+ years of outside B2B sales, ideally in landscape, pool, building products, hardscape, or construction supply
• Existing relationships with DFW pool builders, landscapers, or outdoor living contractors — a major advantage
• Comfortable with cold drop-ins and a long relationship cycle; you don't need a lead handed to you
• Organized enough to run a real cadence and keep a CRM current
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, clean driving record
• Able to walk active job sites
