Clinical Nurse Coordinator West Emergency Room

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator West Emergency Room at Wesley Medical Center plays a key leadership role in delivering safe, high‑quality emergency care to patients in a fast‑paced clinical environment. As a frontline nursing leader in the Healthcare & Medical Services department, you will coordinate patient flow, support bedside nurses, and ensure evidence‑based standards are consistently followed throughout the emergency department. Working closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, technicians, and ancillary staff, you will help prioritize patient care, oversee triage and acuity‑based assignments, and escalate critical situations to the appropriate clinical and medical leaders.

In this role, you will provide direct patient care while also serving as a resource, mentor, and clinical expert to the emergency room team. You will assist with complex assessments, implement and evaluate care plans, support safe medication administration, and champion adherence to clinical protocols, including sepsis, stroke, trauma, and cardiac pathways. You will monitor quality and safety indicators such as patient throughput times, pain management, and adherence to core measures, and work collaboratively to identify opportunities for process improvement.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will participate in staff education, precept new team members, and promote a culture of teamwork, respect, and accountability that reflects Wesley Medical Center’s commitment to patient‑centered care. You will support effective communication between patients, families, and the care team, advocate for patient needs, and ensure that care is aligned with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and best practices. You will also assist with staffing coordination, delegation of tasks, and response to high‑acuity situations, including codes, rapid responses, and mass‑casualty or surge events.
