Medical Assistant/Admin Assistant

Job Description Job Description Our practice is in search of a full-time medical assistant/admin assistant. We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic person who is willing to go the extra mile for a patient.
All candidates must be available Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities:
Interact with patients and visitors in a friendly, positive, caring and cheerful manner.
Experience with Athena EMR.
Assisting Physician with clinical procedures.
Obtaining vital signs. (Proficiency with Manual Blood pressure, Weight, Height etc.).
Verify patient information, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
Clean and stock exam rooms/maintain inventory for exam rooms.
Cross train as a front desk receptionist and be able to perform all duties.
Completing admin duties such as FMLA forms, work letters, insurance companies correspondence.
Requirements:
Dependable.
Cheerful and outgoing personality.
Experience working as a team member in a healthcare environment.
Medical assistant experience.
Comfortable administering vaccinations.
Excellent organizational skills/ strong attention to detail.
Highly motivated to work and a quick learner.
Professional appearance. (scrubs).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
EMR experience a PLUS.
Admin experience a PLUS.
