General Function Review and decide on small‑business relationships for business‑purpose credits up to $2 million in a centralized environment. When a credit review is triggered, the PM requests all applicable information, determines the proper risk rating, and submits required credit actions. The PM also prepares underwriting memos for business‑purpose requests. Provide ongoing support to Banking Center personnel in communicating loan decisions and conducting financial analysis. Accountable for risk adherence and for ensuring that all actions and behaviors align with a positive customer experience while operating within the Bank’s risk appetite. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Analyze financial statements based on the information provided in the loan package. Coordinate requests with the relationship manager to obtain all information needed to decide on a credit request or assign a proper risk rating. Provide loan decisions and/or credit recommendations based on underwriting criteria, including loan structure, collateral, interest rate, and fees. Negotiate loan terms & conditions with the relationship team. Coach Banking Center staff and commercial relationship managers to deepen their understanding of small‑business customers. Identify and communicate cross‑sell opportunities discovered during underwriting. Communicate loan decisions to the loan originator. Review all necessary due diligence items. Ensure that the proper risk rating is completed per policy and complete periodic reviews and ALSR reports. Complete documentation required for SAG transfers when necessary. Assist the Documentation Specialist as needed. Perform miscellaneous job duties as assigned. Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required College degree in accounting, finance, or economics preferred. 3+ years of credit analysis and/or loan review experience, preferably in the banking industry. Proficiency with basic software applications such as Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel; familiarity with the Bank’s internal applications is helpful. Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal, written, and organizational communication skills. The role also participates in an incentive compensation plan based on individual and company performance.
