About the Role:

Responsibilities:

Assist optometrists during eye examinations and procedures.

Conduct preliminary tests, including visual acuity and lensometry.

Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation.

Educate patients on eyewear options and proper contact lens care.

Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries effectively.

Ensure a clean and organized work environment in the clinic.

Process insurance claims and manage billing inquiries.

Support the team with inventory management and restocking supplies.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; certification in optometric assisting is a plus.

Previous experience in an optometry or ophthalmology office required.

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor with patients.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.

Team player with a passion for providing outstanding patient care.
