Respiratory Therapist - PRN

Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in critical care settings. Key Duties Perform patient assessments, verify orders, and administer therapies including aerosolized medications, oxygen, and medical gases. Manage ventilators, interpret waveforms, and handle airway management procedures such as intubation and trach care. Conduct arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, and educate patients and families on respiratory health. Participate in invasive and non-invasive procedures, pulmonary diagnostics, and cardiac service procedures. Mentor and precept new staff, students, and peers, supporting team development. Ensure quality patient care by promoting safety, accurate documentation, evidence-based practices, and performance improvement initiatives. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred). Certifications: NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, ACLS (required upon hire). 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care. Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment, and computer skills.
