Apartment Management Professionals (AMP) is seeking an experienced, driven, and service-focused Community Director to lead one of our premier mid-rise communities in North Austin. This highly visible leadership opportunity oversees a sophisticated 500+ unit apartment community and plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, financial performance, resident satisfaction, and team success.

About the Role:

The Community Director oversees the daily operations, financial performance, and overall success of the community while ensuring compliance with company standards and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. This position serves as the operational leader of the property and partners closely with regional leadership to drive occupancy, NOI performance, resident retention, team development, and overall asset success.

This role requires someone who can confidently lead large teams, manage complex operations, multitask effectively, and maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service in a luxury environment.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Overseeing all day-to-day operations of a high-end 500+ unit mid-rise community

• Driving leasing performance, occupancy, resident retention, and financial results

• Leading, mentoring, and developing onsite office and maintenance teams

• Managing hiring, onboarding, employee development, performance reviews, coaching, and staffing in partnership with HR and Regional Leadership

• Collaborating with Regional Directors on budgeting, operational planning, and property performance strategies

• Ensuring timely rent collection, delinquency management, and legal compliance throughout the eviction process

• Maintaining compliance with Fair Housing regulations, ADA requirements, Fair Credit Reporting Act guidelines, and all other applicable laws governing apartment management

• Managing vendor and contractor relationships, billing, scheduling, and certificate of insurance compliance

• Ensuring lease files, resident records, and reporting are accurate, complete, and audit-ready

• Maintaining exceptional curb appeal, office presentation, and model readiness

• Providing an elevated resident experience and fostering a customer-service-focused culture across the onsite team

• Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to help drive community success

• Proactively communicating operational challenges, opportunities, and property performance updates to regional leadership

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum of 3 years of multifamily property management experience

• Previous experience managing large-scale, luxury, or Class A communities strongly preferred

• Strong operational, financial, and leadership experience

• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Strong understanding of leasing, resident relations, budgeting, delinquency management, and multifamily compliance requirements

• Experience with Yardi, ResMan, or similar property management software preferred

• A polished, professional, and customer-focused leadership style
