Cardiology Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Board-Certified Physician Assistant with experience in cardiovascular, cardiothoracic surgery, or critical care to support a high-acuity inpatient program in Charlotte, NC. This is a nocturnist role offering a consistent 7-on/7-off schedule in a collaborative hospital setting.

• Schedule: 7 on / 7 off
• Shift: 6:30 PM 6:30 AM (12-hour nights)
• Start Date: ASAP (credentialing 90 days)
• Contract Length: Minimum 3 months with strong extension potential

• Provide nocturnal coverage for vascular surgery ICU (co-managed) and floor patients
• Manage cardiothoracic surgery floor patients (no CT ICU coverage required)
• Perform limited procedures including:
  • Chest tube management
  • Chest tube removal (no insertions)
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to manage complex surgical patients

• No OR responsibilities
• No call requirement
• Focused inpatient care with limited procedures
• Strong clinical support and leadership visibility

• Board-Certified Physician Assistant
• Active North Carolina license or pending application
• Active DEA
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Experience in cardiovascular, cardiothoracic surgery, or critical care
• Comfortable performing listed procedures
