Collection Specialist

Collections SpecialistPalmdale Oil Company is seeking Collections Specialist for our Palm Beach Gardens office who will be responsible for contacting customers regarding past-due balances and ensuring timely payment. This role involves maintaining accurate records and resolving invoice disputes. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential. The ideal candidate will contribute to maintaining positive customer relationships while meeting collection targets.Collections Processor Key ResponsibilitiesContact customers with overdue accounts, root cause disputes, and attempt to either collect the overdue amount or negotiate a payment plan to collect it in installments.Make at least 30-35 calls per day, as well as being a part of the Vonage phone system and handling various customer questions/requests.Use credit bureau data, post office information, internet searches and other tools to try to locate customers who have moved or changed phone numbers.Take payments over the phone or instruct customers to use our payment portal maintaining PCI Compliance.Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer; documenting all communications with customers within ERP system.Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing. Sort and file correspondence and perform miscellaneous clerical duties, such as answering correspondence and sending missing documents.Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress.Required QualificationsMust be comfortable communicating with customers over the phoneProficient in Microsoft Office Suite – including Word, Excel, and OutlookDetailed orientedExceptional customer services skillsPositive and professional demeanorExcellent verbal and written skillsStrong negotiation abilitiesStable work historyBenefitsOur employees and their well-being are important to us.
