Account Executive

Location: Cincinnati / Dayton, OH (Hybrid – field-based with office as home base) The role Emerge is seeking a full-cycle Account Executive to drive net-new business across territory markets. This is a hunter role for someone who enjoys building pipeline, getting in front of prospects, and closing long-term managed services partnerships. You will own the sales process from initial outreach through close, partnering closely with leadership and technical teams to deliver results. Responsibilities Prospect and engage new SMB and mid-market organizations across Cincinnati and Dayton Generate pipeline and consistently secure first-time appointments (FTAs) Build networks, connect with the right people to achieve goals, and work through formal channels to build relationships and support Drive results: pursue everything with energy and drive with goals in mind, persisting in the face of challenge and setbacks Instill trust: gain the trust and confidence of others easily and model high standards of honesty and integrity Conduct discovery calls to uncover business challenges and technology needs Own and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close Present tailored managed IT and cloud solutions aligned to client needs Collaborate with technical and leadership teams throughout the sales process Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and forecasting in Pipedrive Leverage Apollo and LinkedIn for outbound prospecting Build relationships within the local business community and referral network Consistently meet and exceed activity and revenue targets Requirements Abide by the leadership expectations of "Build Others Up," "Communicate Well," and "Play as a Team" Success in the Korn Ferry competencies: Builds Networks, Drives Results, and Instills Trust Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, delivering exceptional service while maintaining company KPIs Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and industry best practices Continuous Improvement: foster a culture of continuous improvement with peers and encourage feedback and innovation Enthusiasm for the company and its vision, optimistic and positive demeanor, high energy and drive for results Act with integrity using a professional and proactive work ethic Proven hunter mentality with a focus on net-new logo acquisition Track record of generating pipeline and closing new business Strong communication skills with executive stakeholders Self‑motivated, competitive, and comfortable operating autonomously Experience using CRM and sales tools (Pipedrive, Apollo, LinkedIn or similar) Ability to manage a field‑based schedule with regular in‑person meetings Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times Up to 20% travel may be required Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred Demonstrated proficiency in professional written and verbal communication Benefits Emerge is intentional about building a culture where people are supported, challenged, and recognized.
