Medical Team Manager, Medical Assistant Experience Care Team Manager (Medical Assistant) Care Team Manager (Medical Assistant) exists to lead and support Medical Assistants while ensuring workflows run smoothly and care is delivered efficiently, accurately, and with compassion. This role serves as a critical bridge between care teams and operations—helping create a seamless, organized, and high‑quality experience for every member. In this role, you will: Lead and develop a team of Medical Assistants, providing real‑time support, coaching, and guidance Partner closely with providers and care teams to ensure coordinated, efficient, and patient‑centered care Help keep care delivery running smoothly by identifying gaps, removing friction, and improving workflows Directly impact member experience by ensuring care is timely, accurate, and easy to navigate This is a hands‑on role for someone who: Enjoys developing people and helping teams stay organized and effective Thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving, and highly collaborative environment Is comfortable balancing day‑to‑day team support with process improvement and problem‑solving Takes ownership and follows through Wants their work to make a meaningful impact on both team performance and member care What You’ll Do Lead and develop Medical Assistants through hiring, training, coaching, and ongoing support Coordinate care by partnering with providers, case managers, and care teams to ensure a seamless member experience Optimize operations by identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions Standardize workflows, SOPs, and documentation practices to improve consistency and quality Support escalations by stepping in on complex or sensitive cases requiring leadership oversight Drive accountability by monitoring performance metrics and ensuring consistent team output Collaborate with Claims, Care Logistics, Customer Success, and other cross‑functional teams A strong performer in this role is known for: Leading with empathy while holding high standards Simplifying complexity and removing barriers for both team members and patients Using data to inform decisions while staying focused on people Consistently improving team performance and care delivery How Success Is Measured Team performance, engagement, and development of Medical Assistants Consistency and quality of care support delivered to members Improvements in workflow efficiency and operational effectiveness Timely resolution of escalations and complex cases Effective collaboration across clinical and operational teams What We’re Looking For Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) required 3+ years of experience in a medical setting 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead teams Strong understanding of clinical workflows and patient coordination Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills Comfortable working in a remote, tech‑enabled environment A people‑first mindset with a passion for helping others Must be based in the Phoenix, AZ area or able to reliably commute to an in‑person work environment.
