SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

The Paraprofessional provides instructional and behavioral support to students in the transition program supporting young adults (18-22) with disabilities in school and community environments.

Schools are located in Northbrook, IL

DESCRIPTION OF CLIENT'S DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students under teacher supervision Assist with academic, social, behavioral, and life skills development Support students in vocational training and community-based job sites Assist with daily living skills (e.g., communication, independence, routines) Provide supervision and safety support across school and community environments Collaborate with teachers, families, and outside agencies May assist with personal care needs and mobility support depending on assignment

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience working with children with a wide range of abilities - especially in special education settings Illinois paraprofessional license or a substitute license. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
