Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Maryland

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Maryland

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 4x12 hour shifts per week, 4:1 patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends. Weekend coverage required (6 weekend shifts per contract). Orientation includes 20 hours plus training modules.

Highlights:

• Fast-paced Level II Trauma Center with high acuity patients across all age groups (neonates through geriatrics)
• 54-bed Emergency Department with an average daily volume of 220 patient visits
• Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and more
• Stroke and STEMI certified facility with diverse case mix including trauma, CVA, procedural sedation, and critical care
• 12-month travel assignment with potential for extension after 90-day break period

Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience in Emergency Department settings required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (pending certifications acceptable at time of submission)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR system required
• Required vaccinations: 2-step PPD, Flu vaccine, and COVID-19 vaccine (no exemptions)
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
• Skills required include blood product administration, central line management, continuous IV sedation, ventilator care, vasopressor management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts, triage, and procedural sedation
