To encourage your growth, we offer a medical assistant apprenticeship program, a dental assistant program, comprehensive benefits packages, easy access to wellness, personal and professional development workshops, and a focus on healthy work-life balance.Responsibilities include:Provide paperwork and information, including verbal instructions on how to complete forms, to patientsAccurately collect confidential, sensitive patient information used for federal grant reportingEnter data from completed paperwork into a computer database for charting and reportingAccurately assign payor source to each qualifying patient visitAssess all incoming patients toward determining eligibility for healthcare grants and servicesCheck-in patients for scheduled appointmentsCoordinate with clinic staff to determine availability for non-scheduled care and make sure patients are seen in a timely mannerOrder and maintain inventory of forms and suppliesCreate and update forms, type and prepare correspondence, and maintain front office desk manualFollow workflows to capture activities to meet patient engagement standards as outlined in the APCM programConduct outreach efforts to make sure patients stay connected to OHP (Oregon Health Plan) and La Clinica servicesOther duties as assignedOpen and close SBHC daily and maintain an organized, welcoming environment.Greet students, verify appointments in EHR system, collect forms, and support clinical workflow.Ensure accurate documentation for grants, regulatory and reimbursement requirements.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of school district policies, youth health resources, and SBHC offerings.Education and/or experience:Bilingual/bi-literate skills in English and Spanish requiredMinimum: High school diploma or GEDSix months of work in a medical office setting or one-year experience in high volume direct public contact settingBLS healthcare provider (basic life support certification)Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skillsSkills to intervene and promote reconciliation, compromise, and positive outcomes in difficult interactionsSkilled at using electronic health records as applicable to area of work (EPIC)Benefits Include the potential for the following:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceVoluntary accident, short term disability, and critical illness insurance403(b) retirement savings plan with available company matchOrganization-paid standard life insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA)Wellness programs such as cooking, Zumba, yoga, and gardeningPersonal and professional development workshopsEquity Statement:At La Clinica, we commit to engage everyone in a welcoming, respectful, and loving way and to maintain the dignity and value of all people above everything else.
