Insurance Litigation Legal Assistant

Location: Orlando, Florida

Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking an experienced Insurance Litigation Legal Assistant to support a dynamic insurance litigation team in Orlando, Florida. This role is best suited for a legal assistant with a strong background supporting insurance litigation attorneys and managing litigation matters in a fast-paced law firm environment.
Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys throughout all stages of insurance litigation.
• Prepare and format pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• File documents with state and federal courts.
• Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
• Maintain electronic and physical case files.
• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors.
• Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, trial binders, and case materials.
• Perform other litigation support duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required

• Minimum 3 + years of experience supporting insurance litigation attorneys , with insurance litigation serving as the primary focus of recent employment.
• Plaintiff-side insurance litigation experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with substantial defense-side insurance litigation experience will also be considered.
• Prior experience working in an insurance litigation law firm.
• Experience preparing litigation documents, coordinating court filings, and managing litigation calendars.
• Strong knowledge of court procedures and litigation deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.

Preferred

• Stable employment history with litigation-focused law firms.
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a busy insurance litigation practice.
• Strong understanding of Florida court procedures.
• Candidates whose recent experience is primarily outside of insurance litigation will not be considered.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting insurance litigation attorneys and possesses the organizational skills needed to keep complex litigation matters moving efficiently. Candidates should have a proven background working in insurance litigation, preferably on the plaintiff side, with defense-side experience also considered.
