The Contract Maintenance Sup/Lead will direct and coordinate all employee maintenance activities related to producing the highest quality product while maintaining a cost-effective environment. This is a contract position expected to last through March 2027.

Core Hours: Rotating Day/Evening Shifts - 2/2/3 7pm-645am - Work Every Other Weekend - OT will be necessary at critical times

Maintenance Supervisor Details:

• Contract position
• $ 40.00 / hour
• Various shifts available

• Lead, plan and execute all maintenance functions of designated glass-manufacturing production.
• Ensure the safety of all assigned employees through training and enforcement of all federal, state and company safety guidelines.
• Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example
• Ensure product quality meets internal and external customer specifications.
• Ensure all production standards and targets for thru put, downtime, yield and scrap reduction meet or exceed budgeted levels Maintain and operate equipment following procedures and best practices as defined in the control plan
• Conduct process and product audits according to the work instructions
• Lead change-over following proper set-up procedure according to work instructions
• Turn around any set asides and hold activity in a timely manner
• Communicate effectively with employees at all levels to ensure matters of mutual concern are addressed and resolved.
• Provide support to the Supervisors, employees and Process improves in pursuit of continuous improvement.
• Check inventories and schedule. Plans and communicates production needs to the team leaders to ensure all production requirements are met and insure a good pass down before each shift.
• Ensure employees are provided training and guidance/direction to team members according to procedures and best practices to achieve short and long-term goals.
• Coordinate 5S and housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of facility cleanliness.
• Administer progressive discipline as needed in compliance with the facility work rules and labor agreement.
• Supervise a team of 7-10 Hourly Team Members in a Union Environment
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proven ability to adapt communication style to interact with diverse groups.
• 3+ years of experience successfully managing people in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated strengths in results orientation, adaptability, standards discipline, employee development, influence, and communication.
