Global Advanced Analytics Lead

Make your mark for patients About the role We are looking for a Global Advanced Analytics Lead who will help inform the commercial viability of various assets in development. The role will create business impact through advanced analytics methods, manage AI projects, oversee analytics solutions operations, and serve as subject‑matter expert across Patient Solutions and Patient Evidence. Who you’ll work with You will collaborate with Integrated Insights Leads from early asset and late‑stage teams, Real‑world Evidence teams, Translational Medicine, Bioinformatics, Clinical operations, new product planning, Commercial teams, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Finance, IT, and external vendors. What you’ll do Analytics Leadership – Provide expertise to leverage advanced analytics, especially where primary data can be reduced or impact is high. Deliver – Execute data and analytics projects that address compelling business questions, identify new patient and company opportunities, and communicate insights via visual displays. Partnership and Collaboration – Act as a key strategic partner to functional stakeholders, co‑create data priorities, and maintain relationships with IT, Data Office, and other analytics teams. Team Leadership – Mentor junior data scientists and translators, fostering clear communication and practical implementations. Execute Data‑Driven Insights – Drive regional and local analytics plans and priorities. Build a Data Science Community – Promote a data‑driven culture and supervise collaborative advanced analytics studies. Improve Stakeholder Impact – Develop communication plans, increase business knowledge, and ensure reliable results. Attract and Develop Talent – Coach and retain the analytics team. Deep Partnership – Partner with hub insights teams and other engines to deliver cross‑functional insights. Champion Data‑Driven Decision Making – Advocate for data‑driven culture. Minimum Experience and Skills Required Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field. 8–10+ years of experience in predictive modeling (ML, decision trees, ensemble learning, neural networks), data transformation, and real‑world data. 8–10+ years of experience developing program/project plans and leading programs from initiation to implementation. 8+ years working with real‑world data (claims, EMR, IQVIA, -omics). 8–10+ years programming in Python or R preferred. Preferred Experience and Skills Master’s or Doctor’s degree in a quantitative field. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, especially specialty pharma and biologics. Deep expertise in data science within R&D and clinical trials, including Go‑to‑Market domains. Expertise in large secondary transactional databases, unstructured data, or complex computational challenges. Structured problem solver with an 80/20 mindset for rapid model iteration. Ability to interpret model results and detect errors such as overfitting, bias, or misleading correlations. Flexibility to work across geographies and time zones.
