Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Observation in Spruce Pine NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents and provide professional customer service and communication. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a government corrections environment.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner while following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings grounds access points perimeter areas and parking locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas verify credentials as required and report suspicious activity hazards and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs incident reports and required documentation and communicate clearly with site personnel emergency responders and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
