What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff visitors and individuals at a government corrections location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures policies and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents disturbances medical events and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activity according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings grounds access points and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas verify credentials as required and report unauthorized entry attempts or unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate reports logs and other required documentation related to patrols incidents and daily security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
