About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join its dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and practical legal advice to support the company's commercial initiatives. This includes negotiating and executing a variety of complex commercial agreements, with a focus on technology and data-related contracts. The role also involves advising on international, policy, privacy, and regulatory matters, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and laws impacting online advertising. The ideal candidate is a business-minded lawyer with a deep understanding of technology, capable of balancing legal risks with business objectives, and is experienced in leading commercial negotiations with strategic partners. Candidates for the Assistant General Counsel position at the company should be licensed to practice in New York and have a minimum of 6 years' commercial legal experience, preferably with a background in ad tech or startups. The role requires a professional with a strong academic record, excellent communication, analytical, and writing skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively. Experience with global privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA/CPRA is essential. The role demands a proactive individual with exceptional judgment, the ability to manage a diverse legal portfolio, and a commitment to the continuous improvement of legal processes and policies.
