Production Operator ITitle: Production Operator ILocation: Richmond, VAPay: $21 per hourHours: 1st Shift - 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMEssential Job Functions:Read, understand and follow batch tickets to achieve production scheduleGather and weigh ingredients (Scale operation)Combine ingredients in a designated sequenceProvide samples to the Quality Control labPack and label the product into designated containersOperate equipment with an inserting systemTrouble shoot mixing equipmentClean the equipment and plant and dispose the wasteResponsible for stock rotation and minimizing partial containersResponsible for ingredient traceabilityProficient in all areas of and the ability to operate SAP Inventory function and perform inventory cycle countsConduct preliminary quality checksReport near miss incidents and improvement opportunitiesParticipate actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs and training sessionsParticipate on plant teams and serves as a trainer for employees and/or new hiresComply with OSHA required activities for PITComply with DOT regulations for Hazardous Material transportWear appropriate PPE at all times and maintain a clean work areaISO - Follow all standard operating procedures with respect to performance of position duties and stays updated on all applicable proceduresPerforms other related duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Ability to learn quicklyAbility to follow directions and work well in a teamVerbal and written communication skillsMath skills and ability to work with percentagesCapable of repeatedly lifting 55+ lbs. and standing for long periods of timeAbility to work on elevated surfaces using stairs or step stools when requiredAbility to work 40 hrs. weekly and overtimeEducation and Experience:High School Diploma/GED1+ years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment, preferably in batch manufacturingSit-down and/or stand-up experience preferredExperience following safety proceduresExperience working around flammable material a plusBenefits:We offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include merit increases, paid holidays, Paid Time Off, medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability benefits, 401(k)+match and life insurance.
