This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.The Principal Supply Chain Engineer will serve as a highly technical subject matter expert leading enterprise-level product strategy and global supply chain engineering initiatives. This strategic leadership role drives and upholds Design for Manufacturing (DfM) for procured parts and ensure DfM is incorporated into design rationalization, commodity standardization, and sourcing optimization across all Business Units. in to reduce complexity, cost, and lead times while maintaining technical excellence.Enterprise Product Strategy & VisionExecute and contribute to the strategic vision for the Blue Market program, ensuring alignment with company-wide objectivesDefine and implement product strategies across multiple commodity portfoliosIncorporate DfM into enterprise-level design rationalization to optimize Blue Origin's component databaseDesign Rationalization & StandardizationLead cross-Business Unit collaboration with engineering teams and Advanced Concepts & Engineering (ACE) to rationalize, standardize, and commonize designsIncorporate DfM into standardized designs within the Blue catalogue, ensuring technical specifications are accessible and actionableChallenge requirements and provide technical inputs to ACE enterprise design guides with a focus on reducing unique part numbersData-Driven Execution & AnalyticsDevelop DfM KPIs that deliver actionable insightsConduct rigorous data-driven analysis to inform strategic decisions and recommendationsTranslate complex technical and supply chain data into executive-level insightsStrategic Sourcing PartnershipPartner with Strategic Procurement to develop and execute commodity-specific sourcing strategiesIntegrate technical requirements with commercial considerations to optimize total cost of ownershipBalance performance, reliability, and cost across the supply baseInnovation & Process ExcellenceLead development of customer-focused, world-class project management toolsets and methodologiesChampion continuous improvement initiatives to accelerate program executionPioneer integration of AI, automation, and advanced analytics into supply chain operationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline)10+ years of progressive technical leadership experience in aerospace or high-reliability industriesDeep expertise in product design, manufacturing and testStrong working knowledge of configuration management systems, tools, and best practicesProven success leading cross-functional teams through complex, large-scale engineering programsDemonstrated ability to deliver results under aggressive timelines in dynamic, fast-paced environmentsExceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical information for various audiences (technical through executive level)Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with demonstrated risk identification and mitigation experienceComprehensive understanding of aerospace regulatory requirements, industry standards, and compliance frameworksFinancial acumen including budgeting, cost management, and program financial performance oversightExperience driving organizational change and leading transformation initiativesProven ability to build and leverage networks across complex, multi-functional organizationsPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Engineering or related technical fieldExperience with manufacturing capability and methodsDirect experience with defense and/or commercial space programsDemonstrated application of AI, machine learning, or automation tools in program/supply chain managementSix Sigma, Lean, or equivalent continuous improvement certificationCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $169,624.00 - $237,473.25Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
