Proposal Analyst, Lead – Onsite Position Santa Clarita, CA – Onsite Salary Range: USD 108,900.00 – 145,200.00 annual plus bonus. Benefits Paid Time Off 401K with Employer Match and Profit Sharing Health and Wellness Benefits Learning and Development Opportunities Referral Program Competitive Pay Recognition Employee Stock Purchase Plan Inclusive & Supportive Culture Your Challenge Capture engineering: Basis of Estimates (BOE) and product cost capture from actuals and/or Product Manager inputs Perform pricing for development/production type contracts Support proposals from RFP to award, including pricing negotiations and responding to cost/pricing RFIs Prepare cost volumes and sweep packages Maintain and update direct/indirect rates in ProPricer Prepare pricing packages and present to leadership at pricing reviews for approvals Prepare consolidated Bill of Materials Work with procurement to gather and verify material cost basis Manage and capture costing for any third‑party items required Coordinate with the team to provide proposal needs and validate material costing Secure timely approvals for proposal pricing Develop strategies and implement solutions for efficient costing/pricing models, considering market factors and risk/reward of offered pricing or terms Support or lead targeted costing and pricing models/analysis/closed‑loop analysis (post‑award actuals versus bid values) and provide lessons learned and recommendations to the applicable business units Provide ongoing support to various stakeholders (BU Directors, Product Managers, Proposal Management) as required Work with Finance to optimize proposal cost and pricing tools, making them more effective, common, and supportive in assessing pricing model strategies What You Bring Superior Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills Understanding and experience with FAR principles, including FAR 14, 15, 16, and 31 Experience pricing for various contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M) on sole‑source and competitive bids Experience preparing consolidated Bill of Materials Extensive background in costing Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and as part of a cross‑functional team, following procedures and using system tools Self‑starter who can work independently and manage concurrent multiple bids and proposals with dynamic priorities Resourcefulness in solving often ambiguous problems with little supervision Experience with cost/revenue analysis and audits is considered an asset Excellent analytical skills: collect data, understand significance, explain issues, recommend solutions or process improvements Excellent technical ability, including proficiency with integrated ERP systems, preferably SAP Ability to present and defend costing/pricing recommendations to senior leadership Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and embracing change Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Engineering, and/or Business Experience in proposal cost development and cost analysis Knowledge of ProPricer is an asset (Highly Preferred Skill) Familiarity with Military and Aerospace market and customer base is desired, but not mandatory 2–4 years of related experience preferably in a manufacturing or high‑technology environment, or a combination thereof Compliance Statement: This position may require exposure to export‑controlled information and is subject to additional security screening.
