Parsippany, NJ - On-Site Preferred | Remote Flexibility

$150,000+ Base + Commission & Performance Incentives
Target Total Compensation: $200,000–$250,000

 

Overview

A fast-growing packaging company with ambitious expansion plans is seeking a strong Director of Sales & Growth to build and scale its sales organization.

The company has an established sales team and significant room for growth. Now it needs someone who can turn its existing sales operation into a structured, scalable, high-performing sales organization.

This is much more than a traditional sales management role. We're looking for someone who can develop the strategy, build the processes, establish meaningful KPIs, leverage CRM and data, and create a clear roadmap for significant revenue growth.

The right person combines big-picture thinking with hands-on execution and knows how to bring structure and accountability without overcomplicating the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the overall sales strategy, structure, and performance

• Build and execute a scalable plan for aggressive revenue growth

• Develop sales processes, systems, reporting, and accountability measures

• Establish and track KPIs, pipeline performance, conversion rates, and revenue targets

• Leverage CRM and sales data to identify opportunities, gaps, and areas for improvement

• Determine sales team structure, hiring needs, and individual production targets

• Recruit, develop, and manage salespeople as the organization expands

• Set clear goals, monitor performance, and drive accountability

• Evaluate sales channels and identify new business development opportunities

• Partner closely with ownership to translate growth goals into actionable plans

• Regularly review results, identify what's working, and adjust strategy to drive performance

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience building or scaling a sales organization , not just managing an existing team

• Strong background in sales strategy, CRM, KPIs, forecasting, and process development

• Demonstrated success driving meaningful revenue growth

• Experience hiring, managing, and holding salespeople accountable

• Strong analytical skills and ability to turn sales data into actionable decisions

• Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable in a fast-growing business

• Hands-on leader who can both develop the plan and make it happen

• Strong business judgment, communication, and leadership skills

• Experience in packaging, manufacturing, distribution, or B2B sales is a plus

• Business owners and entrepreneurial sales leaders with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
