Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar classroom support role
• Understanding of child development, especially in young elementary-aged children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow educational plans and adapt to the needs of individual students
• Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing attitude
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant coursework a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support for assigned students throughout the school day
• Assist students with academic tasks, social skills, and daily routines
• Implement teacher-directed strategies and interventions tailored to each student’s needs
• Help create an inclusive, respectful, and productive classroom experience
• Document student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff and specialists
• Encourage independence while offering guidance and reassurance
