Phlebotomist

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for a medical clinic in Laredo, Texas. The role involves collecting blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques, processing patient data, and providing customer service. Monday-Friday 7am-4pm with rotating Saturdays 7am-12pm.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens from patients of all ages via venipuncture and capillary techniques
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic purposes
• Enter patient information and specimen data accurately and perform billing collection
• Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing and maintain information logs
• Provide customer service and perform administrative duties; travel to additional sites as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program
• 2+ years phlebotomy experience preferred
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision
• Pass standardized color blindness test
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
