Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Valera, you will:

• Direct physical therapy treatment plans to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore muscle function, ensuring alignment with physicians' orders and best practice standards.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional levels through diagnostic tests of muscles, nerves, and joints.
• Provide onsite assessments of the home environment to recommend modifications that enhance clients' independence.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and various treatment modalities including massage and traction, instructing clients in self-care and therapeutic activities.
• Oversee the work of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to established care plans and quality standards.
• Prepare detailed clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to evaluate treatment efficacy and update care plans as necessary.
• Engage with clients and their families, providing education about therapy programs and using assistive devices effectively.
• Respond to client needs and assess outcomes, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits
