Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function according to individual treatment plans.
• Evaluate and assess each client's level of function through specific diagnostic tools and prognostic tests related to muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities.
• Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring the appropriate application of the treatment plan while instructing them on specific therapy interventions.
• Conduct in-home evaluations to identify environmental aspects that may impact rehabilitation and recommend modifications that increase client independence.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage techniques while guiding clients in both manual and non-manual activities.
• Create and maintain up-to-date clinical records, including initial evaluations, OASIS documentation, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring all records adhere to organizational standards and compliance requirements.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively discuss patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
• Maintain open lines of communication with clients, families, and other personnel to provide ongoing education regarding therapy devices and therapeutic interventions.
• Confirm timely submission of orders and documentation per branch policy, focusing on clinical excellence and efficiency.
• Complete site-specific functional assessments and develop care plans that utilize community resources effectively for patient rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions that affect mobility and physical function. Your role will involve crafting personalized rehabilitation programs suited to diverse patient needs, including young adults, seniors, and individuals recovering from sports injuries. By addressing both physical and emotional aspects of recovery, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patients' lives and returning them to their active lifestyles.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a physical therapy role, ideally within an acute care or home care setting.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• A valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance are necessary for patient transportation and home evaluations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Skill in using therapeutic modalities and advanced rehabilitation equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and mentor junior staff, particularly Physical Therapy Assistants.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
