A Day in the Life

You start your day reviewing your schedule in the ServiceTitan platform, truck stocked and ready for flat-rate repairs. The first stop is a no-heat call on a steam system—your diagnostic toolkit comes out as you track down the issue, balancing airflow and investigating fuel and electrical components. Midday, you consult with a homeowner on efficiency upgrades, then mentor a junior tech through a ductless system troubleshooting. You close the day by updating service records and following AHHS (Ace Hardware Home Services) procedures—every detail buttoned up, every customer heard.

What You’ll Do

Deliver an outstanding customer experience through accurate, efficient service and clear communication.
Diagnose, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential systems: traditional forced-air, steam and hot-water, oil-fired, high-velocity, geothermal, ductless, and more.
Use specialized diagnostic instruments to resolve airflow, fuel, refrigerant, and electrical issues.
Keep required truck inventory organized to complete flat-rate repairs on the first visit whenever possible.
Educate customers on comfort, efficiency, and safety improvements for their homes.
Coach and support junior service technicians as they develop their skills.
Follow all AHHS systems and administrative processes for the service department.
Document and manage work using the ServiceTitan platform.

What You Need to Succeed

3+ years of HVAC service experience preferred.
EPA Universal Certification.
Thorough knowledge of HVAC best practices and applicable building codes.
Proficiency across all core HVAC functions.
Valid driver’s license.
